Every new Mazda vehicle comes with many benefits, including strong warranty protection. In fact, new models are standard with two limited warranties and a roadside assistance program. That said, what is included with each program and what parts are covered?
The Mazda New-Vehicle Limited Warranty covers your vehicle from defects in materials and workmanship in all parts supplied by Mazda for 36 months or 36,000 miles, whichever comes first. The Mazda Powertrain Limited Warranty covers manufacturer defects in materials and workmanship in powertrain components for 60 months or 60,000 miles. Here’s a breakdown of some of the many services that are covered by your Mazda warranty. 3-year/36,000-mile New-Vehicle Limited Warranty
This warranty covers the original battery in addition to all parts and components supplied by Mazda that are subject to the “Exceptions” or “What is not covered” section of your warranty information booklet. Some exceptions of the limited warranty include a service adjustment (such as wheel balances and fitting of the engine hood), which is covered for the first 12 months or 12,000 miles.
Other exceptions include an air conditioner refrigerant charge for the first 12 months of the warranty period, regardless of the mileage of the vehicle. Also included in the Mazda New-Vehicle Limited Warranty is towing. If your Mazda is not drivable because of a warranted part failure during the warranty period, towing will be covered to the nearest Mazda dealership location.
5-year/60,000-mile powertrain limited warranty
Many powertrain parts and components are covered by this warranty, including the engine, transmission and transaxle and front and rear drive system. Like the Mazda New-Vehicle Limited Warranty, towing is also included if your Mazda is not drivable due to a warranted powertrain component failure.
3-year/36,000-mile 24/7 roadside assistance program
When you buy a new Mazda you also receive the benefit of 24/7 roadside assistance. This complimentary program includes lock-out assistance, gas delivery, jump start, flat tire assistance and much more.
