Whether you are a newcomer to the Mazda brand or if you have been a fan for a long time, you should give the Mazda CX-30 a closer look. While Mazda continues to build the CX-3, the CX-30 brings a little more to the subcompact crossover class, including a little more space and a more luxurious interior feel.

How Many Seats Does the 2021 Mazda CX-30 Have?

The 2021 Mazda CX-30 doesn’t try to be something it isn’t by packing too many seats into its subcompact frame. The CX-30 comfortably seats 5 with a little more head and legroom than most competitors can offer. Both children and adults should be quite at home in any of the seats except the middle of the back bench which should be reserved for smaller passengers. This vehicle is a great fit for you if you have a 3-5 person family, especially if some are younger children.

How Powerful is the Engine in the 2021 Mazda CX-30?

There are actually two engines available in the 2021 model year of the Mazda CX-30, which should be music to the ears of anyone who found the single engine option for the 2020 model year underwhelming. The base engine option is a SKYACTIV®-G 2.5L 4-cylinder engine with 186 horsepower. Moving up from the base engine option, you can get a SKYACTIV®-G 2.5L Turbo 4-cylinder engine that achieves 250 horsepower; quite a bit for a subcompact! If you want the potential for an incredibly powerful small crossover, the CX-30 might be your best option.

How is the Interior of the 2021 Mazda CX-30?

Although the 2021 Mazda CX-30 isn’t technically a luxury car, you would be fooled into thinking it is if you got to sit down inside one, especially the Premium or the 2.5 Turbo Premium Plus trim. From soft-touch leather interior panels and comfortable chairs to the high-tech infotainment system and controls, it’s hard not to love the interior of the CX-30. Just about the only driver that wouldn’t prefer the CX-30 would be someone who prefers rugged over refined and blocky over sleek.
