How to adjust the brightness of Mazda’s Active Driving Display
The process is very straightforward. Simply press the “settings” icon on the MAZDA CONNECT™ Infotainment System then choose “AD-Disp.” From there you can change the brightness, calibration, screen height and other features of the display.
How to turn off the Mazda Active Driving Display
This can be done in the settings area of the MAZDA CONNECT™ Infotainment System. The display can be turned off and on and can be reset to its default settings.

IN A 2020 MAZDA 3 CAN I TURN OFF THE ACTIVE DRIVING DISPLAY AND STILL HAVE NAVIGATION USAGE… ALSO DOES THE NAVIGATION SPEAK TO ME THANKS.
The display of speed is great, but all the other icons are so small that I can not make them out.
It’s my understanding that all vehicles are now manufactured with all the “driver assist features”. I hate them. They are the very definition of distracted driving. You can’t set any of them while you’re actually driving. If people need that much help to drive, they really should not be behind the wheel, they should call a taxi. How about a feature that turns off cell phones when they get in the driver’s seat. That might actually help them do what they are supposed to be doing in the driver’s seat. It nearly takes an engineering degree to set the cruise control! How about “on” “off”, that would be pretty straight-forward. The “driver assist features” are a waste for me. I agree with the other response, icons are so small as to not be of any use, if you can even understand what the icon means.
lol Beth, seems like you’re pissed because you can’t get most of these features working. I personally feel these features are pretty useful, especially the blind spot monitoring feature and rear view camera. I agree cruise control can be a pain to use if you switch vehicles, as each has its own version of it.
