2018 Mazda CX-5 Updates and New Features

The Mazda CX-5 offers sporty performance and styling in a versatile crossover package. The latest version of this crossover is starting to appear in dealership inventories. The 2018 Mazda CX-5 updates and new features will continue to help the crossover establish its reputation.

Mazda CX-5 Engine Performance

All 2018 Mazda CX-5 models will come equipped with Mazda’s 2.5-liter SKYACTIV®-G four-cylinder engine. This engine will deliver 187 horsepower and 186 pound-feet of torque. The engine will now include the new cylinder-deactivation technology. The engine has the ability to shut down two cylinders at cruising speeds to improve efficiency. The engine is paired with the SKYACTIV®-DRIVE 6-speed automatic transmission.

The 2018 Mazda CX-5 will be offered in three trim levels: Sport, Touring and Grand Touring. The three trim levels each include an updated list of standard features for the new model year. The Spot model will now include a leather steering wheel, leather shift knob, Blind Spot Monitoring and Rear Cross-Traffic Alert as standard equipment. CX-5 Touring models add 19-inch wheels and the i-ACTIVSENSE® suite of safety systems as standard equipment. Grand Touring models add a new 2-position memory driver’s seat and a 6-way power adjustable passenger seat.
