The CX-9 continues to offer Mazda’s proven power-plant, the 3.7-liter V6, and no mention of a rumored platform change for the mid-size crossover.

Could this be the next Mazda3?

 

 These are believed to be the first images of the future Mazda3. Corporate’s UK division says that these are digital renderings to show the cars’s Kodo design language but even so we get an idea of how the car will look. 

Available as a 5-door hatch-back and a 4-door sedan, while the design is heavily influenced by the recently introduced 2014 Mazda6. It has a similar front grille with a chrome trim flowing into the headlights, while the sides of the car show the masculine wheel arches and an upswept crease mark.

As previously reported, the next generation of the Mazda3 is expected to have a lower curb weight and will benefit from the company’s SkyActiv fuel-saving technology. The U.S. version should get a 4-cylinder, 2.0-liter gasoline engine with 155 hp (116 kW). A high-performance Mazdaspeed3 is also in the works.

The 2014 Mazda 6 has made it's way to Our shores. Manufactured in Japan, the Mazda6 raises the bar for style, handling and fuel economy with it's 38MPG.  We have them right here.

As anticipated, the 2014 Mazda6 feature's Mazda's SkyActiv technologies suite, including a new 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine producing 184 hp and 188 lb-ft of torque The six-speed SkyActiv-Drive automatic transmission will be offered, as well as an available six-speed manual.

Like Mazda's recent product releases, there is a commitmrent to technology, not just for comforts sake but safety features usually only found on high-end products. Lane departure, E911 Emergency Notification, Smart City Brake Support, Obstruction Warning, Radar Cruise Control and so much more make the All New 2014 the innovative choice. Mazda designers have incorporated Mazda's Kodo design language, which has been enthusiastically received in the popular Mazda CX-5 Crossover. From the front, the new Mazda looks more muscular with character lines running up the hood. The headlights are reshaped and house LEDs. Mazda's "signature wing" sits in the grille. The profile is sleek, though the hood has less of a rake, making for a more upright front end. The character line above the front wheel well now extends into the front doors. At the back, the taillights are narrower and a chrome strip now runs along the trunk lid. Press photos also show dual exhaust pipes.
